SFM played host to three work experience students from Oatlands District High School, as part of the Forest ‘Ventures program. The grade 9 girls spent 3 days in the field with SFM staff, helping to complete boundary demarcation, streamside reserve marking, and post-harvest damage assessments. The students were a credit to themselves and to the program, showing interest and aptitude well beyond their years. The experience also gave SFM an insight into the local community, and their impressions of forestry and farming in the district
